So I grabbed a taxi to the more touristy barrio (far from where I live) 
Arte Market in Parque (flea market) at Catedral Municipio
This is a good location to visit, if you want to check-out a lot of interesting stuff. Mucho cosas. The periodic market is an event held every other Saturday of the month, starting on the first Saturday. It is next to the Catedral Municipio - or at its front yard.
